The first volume of a monograph published as part of the collection of publications “Protection of cultural property in emergencies and armed conflict”. The handbook includes a study of the legal status, a catalog of threats, legal obligations of various formations and institutions, a catalog of crimes, principles of fire protection and rescue maintenance. The publication is the result of the project: “Intersectoral Challenges: specialist in the protection of cultural property in case of emergencies and war – development of a program of postgraduate studies, dedicated to employees working at the border of disciplines”, implemented from 2020 to 2022 in partnership by three institutions: Villa Decius Association (leader), the Bohaterów Westerplatte Naval Academy in Gdynia and the Villa Decius Institute forCulture, funded by the EEA 2014-2022.
