Villa Decius is one of the most outstanding examples of residential architecture in Poland. It was built in the 1630s on the initiative of Justus Ludwik Decius, secretary to Sigismund the Old.

This publication is an attempt to draw conclusions, share reflections and summarize experiences after the implementation of the anti-discrimination project “Hip hop! Hatters stop” and its development “The big dog does not bark”. The most important goal of both initiatives was to try to face the hate speech that everyone is talking about today, but no one is proposing a concrete plan and a constructive way to counter it. The group we chose to work with – young people are, in our opinion, the most vulnerable and exposed to the negative effects of this disturbing phenomenon.

The International Conference “Return of Fallen Empires” was held at Villa Decius on October 15-16. This publication is a record of its most important discussions and debates, the main purpose of which was to draw attention to the dramatic escalation of events on the international level and the new balance of power forming under their influence. Participants in the Conference included David Jones, Samuel Abraham, Jeannette Bougrab, Asli Erdogan, Felix Kaputu, Marcin Kędzierski, Paweł Kowal, Rafał Trzaskowski, Sergey Kovalev, Scott Lucas, Michał Sutowski and others.

This publication is an attempt to summarize the 2015 SAGA creative writing workshop at Villa Decius and presents texts created by project participants – people aged 55+. The publication is divided into three parts. The first is the texts awarded and honored in the literary competition “Come, I’ll tell you a fairy tale”. The second part is literary variety – short stories, essays, excerpts from diaries, memoirs, but also games with form, jokes and linguistic games. In the last section we present a literary surprise, which is the result of cooperation with the Association “Da się” from Nowy Targ. We highly recommend it!

We present the tenth issue of the literary magazine “Radar” published by the Villa Decius Association, drawing attention to the specificity of the magazine – openness to various forms of writing and dialogue between the literatures of different countries. The publication features texts by Ksenia Kharchenko, Viktor Marcinovich and Przemyslaw Czaplinski, among others. Moreover, for the first time, texts of Belarusian literature have been included in “Radar”.
