“Radar” is an international literary magazine published in German, Polish and Ukrainian, which derives from the experience of The Villa Decius Association’s scholarship programme “Homines Urbani”, joint trips of grant holders to Berlin and Lviv and international festivals. In the publication you may find, among others, the prose and poetry of Adrian Krastnitz, Marta Dzido and Serhij Żadan.

Transcript of educational projected aimed to promote human rights and toleration in Poland, realized by Villa Decius Association In 2007 and 2008. Main objective of program was to create sensitivity towards the problems of national and ethnic minorities in the context of xenophobia, discrimination and rejection, and, in consequence, increasing acceptance of people of dissimilar ethno-cultural characteristics.

The International Conference “Captive Mind Revisited” is an attempt to reflect and discuss those social phenomena that should become the subject of deeper interest not only in academic circles, but also in those individuals and societies for whom the future of the European Union and its political, economic, social and human dimensions are still important. The conference program combines intellectual speeches by internationally recognized European personalities and experts with debates and discussion sessions open to representatives of political organizations, academic and cultural circles, non-governmental organizations, public administration and media from Poland and abroad.

The aim of the Visegrad Summer School is to provide an attractive and alternative learning space for young people from Central Europe and enable them to get acquainted with the most important social, security, economic, political and cultural issues which may reinforce or inhibit their European co-operation.

The publication was issued as part of the series “Publicationes Collegii Iuridici de Ludovico Batthyany Nominatae.” It contains a selection of works by participants of the 2007 Central European Intensive Course in Gyor, Hungary, implemented by the Batthyány Lajos Szakkollégium in Gyor, the Villa Decius Association in Krakow, the Association for International Affairs in Prague and the International Visegrad Fund. The purpose of the publication is to popularize issues related to European integration. The publication was published in English with financial support from the University of Debrecen.
