Recruitment has started for participants in the 23rd edition of the Visegrad Summer School, a prestigious 10-day program dedicated to dialogue, education, and the integration of young professionals from the Visegrad Group countries, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Western Balkans.
The theme of this year’s edition is “The Future of Enlargement.” As part of the program, participants will have the opportunity to take part in workshops, lectures, and expert panels that will address the challenges and opportunities related to the enlargement of international organizations such as the EU, NATO, and the Council of Europe. The goal of the program is to rethink strategies concerning sustainable growth, cohesion, and resilience in the context of dynamic geopolitical, social, and economic changes. By the way – is it possible to ‘grow’ indefinitely?
We invite young professionals, researchers, and students from fields such as international relations, public diplomacy and development studies, media, culture, as well as social activists, particularly from the Visegrad Group countries, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Western Balkans, to apply. Participants will gain knowledge on the latest challenges and have the opportunity to engage in discussions on shaping the future of international cooperation.
The program is based on over 30 years of cooperation between V4 countries, which serves as a model for European integration. It emphasizes the importance of knowledge exchange and cooperation, extending the V4 experience to aspiring EU members from the Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership region. Through promoting cultural exchange and dialogue, the VSS contributes to building a united and dynamic network of international organizations capable of facing the challenges of the 21st century.
