Write the Game – Summer School of Video Games Scriptwriting

In each edition, the project consists of conducting a two-week Summer School of Computer Game Scripts addressed to a dozen or so creators selected through recruitment. As part of the Summer School, there are lectures, scriptwriting workshops, group work on creating a script, mentoring meetings and study visits to the most interesting Krakow game studios. Mentors in the project are creators cooperating with the best Polish game studios.

In 2019, the first international edition of the program was held, addressed to artists from the Visegrad Group countries.

Write the Game is part of a long-term series of projects aimed at the development and promotion of literary work started in Villa Decius in 1996. The project implements the mission of the Villa Decius Association, which is to create a meeting place for representatives of various fields of science and culture, nationalities and areas of interest, as well as a platform for the exchange of ideas.

The aim of the project is to develop Polish cultural and creative sectors and stimulate their innovation by networking and combining the potentials of representatives of Polish creative sectors from various fields, activating their cooperation and developing knowledge and competence resources related to the effective functioning of writers in the business environment of the gaming industry.
