Re:Create Europe marks an important next step in the Alliance’s shared commitment to artistic freedom and cultural resilience across Europe. In a time marked by growing political, social, and ecological pressures, the project aims to strengthen transnational solidarity and empower artists and cultural professionals to respond to new challenges.
During the kick-off meeting, partner institutions will briefly introduce their perspectives and outline their visions for the coming four years. The project will focus on supporting artistic practice under conditions of crisis, strengthening cooperation across borders, and fostering dialogue between cultural institutions, artists, and policy-oriented cultural actors.
Through a combination of mobility programmes, blended learning formats, onsite residencies, digital mapping, and international conferences, Re:Create Europe will create opportunities for exchange and collaboration across disciplines and regions. The meeting will also introduce the 2026 annual theme: “Transformation of Cultural Policies”, as well as the first activities planned within the project framework.
While the event is addressed to members and partners of the European Alliance of Academies, it is also open to a wider audience. We warmly encourage artists, cultural professionals, researchers, and anyone interested in cultural cooperation and artistic freedom to join the meeting and take part in shaping this new phase of collaboration.
We look forward to welcoming you on 25 March 2026.
