Spotkanie w Willi Decjusz 4 września 2024
On September 4, a networking meeting took place at Willa Decjusza with German-speaking organizations and representatives from German federal states. The main aim of the meeting was to exchange experiences regarding ongoing activities, existing cooperation patterns between non-governmental organizations, local authorities, and communities, as well as to discuss opportunities for future collaboration. The meeting was attended by 15 people and was moderated by Aleksandra Szymańska-Niekłań.
During the event, many questions arose concerning work with groups generally defined as disadvantaged, such as foreigners and seniors. Participants were interested in methods for engaging these communities, as well as the specific challenges and opportunities organizations face when working with such diverse groups.
Various organizations presented their activities, along with tools and methods used to support community engagement. The presentation focused on actions implemented within the SUMO program and the possibilities for scaling the program in different contexts. The meeting fostered a constructive exchange of experiences regarding best practices in working with communities, emphasizing collaboration between NGOs and local authorities, as well as opinion leaders from both sectors.
