Meeting with residents of the Visegrad Literary Residencies Program

What does functioning at the intersection of cultures and languages entail? How does the experience of being in between affect identity? How does it deform in literature? To what extent does bilingualism enable being in the world and being “at home”?

Zofia Ziemann, a translator and scholar from the Department of International Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University, discussed these and many other issues with Michaela Kučova, Timea Sipos and Tomasz Jędrowski, who stayed at Villa Decius in May and June for the Visegrad Literary Residencies, during a meeting at Massolit Books on June 6.
