Wyszehradzkie rezydencje literackie
PROGRAMME DURATION
In 2027, 32 literary residents will have the opportunity to work on their own projects at one of four host institutions in Bratislava, Budapest, Kraków or Prague during one of the following periods:
- 1 May – 12 June 2027 (Compact Spring Edition)
- 1 September – 30 November 2027 (Standard Autumn Edition)
PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES
The programme supports literary residents’ work and mobility and creates opportunities to exchange knowledge and ideas. It also fosters the development and promotion of literature from the Visegrad Group countries across Central Europe.
Participants have a unique opportunity to promote their work, engage with audiences and enter into a dialogue that can help them develop their projects.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Applications are welcome from writers, poets and literary translators from the V4 countries with at least one published book, as well as essayists, literary critics, commentators and journalists with at least three contributions published in newspapers, magazines or online media. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
RESIDENCY SUPPORT
The residency includes a stay in the selected city and a monthly stipend of EUR 1,300 gross (Compact Spring Edition) or EUR 2,600 gross (Standard Autumn Edition).
The host institution also provides support with preparations for the stay, the organisation of literary events, interviews and workshops, and establishing contacts with publishers and literary critics.

Applications will be accepted from 15 September to 15 October 2026 (until noon).
