The Visegrad Summer School is a 10-day program held in Kraków at Villa Decius, bringing together young professionals from the Visegrad Group countries, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Western Balkans. Since its 20th edition, the project has adopted a “Future Literacy” approach, which fosters innovative thinking and the search for novel solutions. It provides a space for learning, exchanging ideas, and building lasting relationships. Participants are encouraged to break away from conventional ways of thinking, engage in interdisciplinary dialogues, and develop strong networks. The 23rd edition was held under the title “Future of Enlargement.”

The project is co-financed by the governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from the International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.

On April 1, 2025, as part of the ARTS in Exile project, an immersive theater performance took place at Villa Decius: WHO WANTS MY LAND? directed by Butrint Pasha, a director and playwright from Kosovo who uses elements of the Theatre of Cruelty and the Poor Theatre in his work, emphasizing the symbolism of war, memory, and forgiveness.
